2025 Exhibition Statement
Glimpse of Another Universe invites you into a fresh perspective where material and light converge to reveal a new art movement. In this suite of paintings and sculptures, subtle optical phenomena take center stage—fluorescent pigments that shift with changing illumination, phosphorescent coatings hinting at unseen depths, transparent layers that expose the interplay of form and void, and reflective surfaces that catch and bend light in unexpected ways.
Born in the early 1980s on Poland’s Baltic coast, Michal Plis first began painting at age seven after discovering his late mother’s art tools. Two decades in information technology (with occasional bursts of creativity), until 2022, when art reclaimed its place as both therapy and purpose. As a neurodivergent creator, Plis fully immerses himself in every subject—whether the intimate textures of petals or the vast mysteries of space—researching, fixating, and translating their essence into vibrant, abstract forms.

Special Event: Nocturnal Walkthrough with Artist:
I’ll guide a short torch-lit walk through the exhibition after dark, using phone and UV lights to reveal hidden details. I’ll share a few insights, but mostly let the works speak for themselves. Please bring a phone torch or a small torch.
